How to choose the hosting package that suits your need.
All accounts get cPanel - the most advanced control for Linux hosting. You just need to choose the right space and bandwidth for your use.
How much space do I need?
The web space includes all pages, images and any pop mail boxes. For simple sites the starter hosting should be enough. The site might use 10MB for pages and images, leaving you 40MB for mail in your pop mailbox at any one time. If you are hosting lots of images or want lots of mailboxes you’ll need more.
How about Bandwidth?
Imagine you have pages and pictures that take up 10MB. You’ll need just 10MB of space. But if all the pages and images to have 100 hits (each hit downloads the pages and images) a month, then you’ll need 10MBx100 = 1GB of bandwidth.
In reality you would normally shrink images to a fraction of their size to be viewed on your website to minimise your bandwidth. We can advise you on how much you are likely to need, and you can always upgrade.
If you want to show high resolution pictures you could always upload them to Kodakgallery, Flickr or Snapfish where you can often have unlimited free space.
Video uses a massive bandwidth so we normally suggest you host video clips on YouTube and we embed it in your web pages
